Sadly, I think I have been a forced customer with RCI for over 20 years. It seems like they can never improve their technology. Why is this?
THEY ARE still one of the only websites I know that has to shut down every 1-2 weeks for maintenance. What technology are they using that is so so antiquated?
It is actually pretty impressive how the RCI product managers design searching for Exchange Vacations. I’m pretty sure you could not provide a worse customer interaction than this due to:
1. There really are no search results. Just showing 0 resorts for Mexico City would be fine.
2. Instead though, why not show “Cash” Vacations whatever that is so customers are not allowed to use their RCI Exchange which was the entire point of paying the annual dues for RCI.
3. Then to top it off which is even better … in order to confuse customers further and get to upsell them for a location nearby they provide Cash Vacation Results outside of the city you searched for.
This is amazing. Like I’m trying to think how a customer can be provided with worse results than this. Its a winner for the how to design a horrible customer interface online award! RCI Wins again!
